Academic Freedom + Shared Governance

Our core mission is shaped to align with that of our parent organization, the American Association of University Professors, and serves to represent the professional interests of all Adelphi University full-time and adjunct faculty. We are guided by our commitment to advancing the standards and ideals of the profession through the AAUP; improving the terms and conditions of employment of the faculty through collective bargaining; and furthering higher education and academic pursuits such as research and creative work in concert with students, staff, administration and the Board of Trustees.
